Update …. kindly note as of 1:56 p.m. today, February 6, the Hold and Secure status at all Hazelton Schools
has been lifted.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.  The safety of our students
and staff is paramount at all times.

————————————————————————————————————————————

Dear Parents and Guardians,

A generalized safety concern was brought to our attention this morning.

School administration and the School District immediately contacted the RCMP and Safer Schools Together.

To ensure the safety of staff and students, a Hold and Secure procedure was put into place today at all Hazelton Schools in the event of potential community situations occurring outside the schools and not related to schools.

We wish to assure you that all staff and students are safe.  We take every precaution to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at (250) 842-5777, Ext. 3028, should you have further questions or concerns.

Sincerely yours,

Alison Campbell
Principal
