“READY, SET, LEARN” PRESCHOOL EVENTS
The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, and the Ministry of Health Services has sponsored an Early Childhood Initiative called “Ready, Set, Learn.” This initiative provides an opportunity for elementary schools offering Kindergarten to partner with community-based early childhood service providers to influence school readiness for children. “Ready, Set, Learn” is geared for families with 3 year olds. However, New Hazelton Elementary has decided to include 4 year olds since they will be attending school next year.
Session will include a craft activity for the children and information for parents that can help prepare their children for school. A free age appropriate book to take home and other goodies will get handed out at the session.
A Lite meal is provided to all participants.
This will be a very valuable activity for families of preschool children. If you have a 3 or 4 year old, please try to attend this event with your child. To help us prepare for the event, have the right number of free learning kits available, and sufficient food, please contact the school to let the principal know if you are able to come (School Phone Number: 250 842-5777).
